Anne leads a 45 guided meditation (Yoga Nidra) every Sunday in a local hall in Currimundi, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. She includes a watercolour painting experience after the meditation and also homemade GF, sugar free refreshments.
She first heard the reference to Yoga Nidra during her Yoga Teacher Training and on completion knew that she definitely wanted to learn more. She saw Dr Kamani Desai’s introduction talk on You Tube and enrolled herself in to the Yoga Nidra Teacher Training Course and feels it is one of the most amazing experiences she has ever had. Meeting Dr Kamani Desai and John Vosler and Skuli and experiencing their teachings and guidance has been a privilege.
She finds the Science behind the Art of Yoga Nidra both convincing and reassuring and the 177 medical references at the back of Kamani’s book ”Yoga Nidra The Art of Transformational Sleep’ an excellent source of current research into the benefits of Yoga Nidra. Her own personal journey has been included exploring mindfulness, meditation and yoga to assist with menopausal hot flushes and has found that Yoga Nidra and the use of intent/sankalpa has reduced the hot flushes from an average of 20 per day to 1 per day!
Anne works as a part-time kindergarten teacher where she weaves in a little Yoga Nidra each day. This year she will be one of the presenters at YogaFest on the Sunshine Coast in March, 2018.
Anne skypes Yoga Nidra to her daughters who currently live in Sydney, Australia and Vancouver, Canada.
